Two People Killed In Afgoye After Military Posts Were Attacked Last Night

Last night, armed men who are believed to be members of Alshabab have attacked two military posts in Afgoye district which is located in Somalia’s Lower Shabelle region.

A reporter in the area told Radio Dalsan that a crossfire between the military and the attackers have caused the death of two civilians – one them being a child, and several injuries.

In an online news platform, Alshabab claimed to have taken over those posts and were under their control for a short while, although there were no independent reports on the same.

Efforts to get information from security officials and Afgoye administration was futile as they could not answer calls.
