Three Somalia officials are currently stranded at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya, after they were denied access for lack of Visas.
The trio was part of a government delegation scheduled to attend the launch of an European sponsored programme on Tuesday.
Those denied entry are deputy minister of Water and Energy Osman Libah and legislators Ilyas Ali Hassan and Zamzam Dahir of Somali Upper House
Information reaching goobsan media indicate that they were told that they could have applied for Visas in Somalia before proceeding to Kenya.
“They have diplomatic passports but do not have Visas and so they cannot be allowed into Kenya,” a top official at the airport told local media.
The Kenyan Internal security minister Dr Fred Matiang last month announced that foreigners who wants to travel to Kenya should apply for Visas from their home country as Kenya would not be issuing the important documents.
