Somalia’s Council of Ministers condemns Israeli Aggression on Doha.

Somalia’s Council of Ministers has strongly condemned Israel’s strike on the Qatari capital, Doha, denouncing it as a “heinous attack” and a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty.

In a statement issued after its weekly meeting on Thursday, the Council reaffirmed that Somalia stands firmly with the government and people of Qatar, fully rejecting aggression and violations of international law.

The condemnation follows an earlier statement from Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which described the strike as a “flagrant violation of all international agreements and principles protecting civilians.” The ministry urged the UN Security Council to take immediate and effective measures to halt what it called Israel’s “aggressive acts.”

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud also held a phone call with Qatar’s Emir, during which he expressed Somalia’s solidarity and reiterated its strong condemnation of the Israeli attack. He stressed that the targeting of residential compounds housing Hamas leaders was a grave breach of international norms and a serious threat to Qatar’s security and regional stability.

Somalia joined other nations in urging restraint, respect for international law, and the pursuit of a lasting ceasefire to bring justice, peace, and stability to the Middle East.
